This is the place for mici, pork knuckle and a beer in a loud room full of locals.
About the place
The beer hall is fitted out like an old tavern and refers back to the year 1761. The menu is classic Romanian beer-hall food: mici (grilled sausages), pork knuckle, sour soups and large portions, plus pălincă fruit brandy.
On many weekend evenings local bands play, and then the room is full and noisy. Some guests have complained about long waits for food at peak times, so give yourself time.
Good to know
- Book for Friday and Saturday evenings, when there is live music.
- Come early or on a weekday if you want a quiet table.
- Try a local pălincă before your main course.
