It is a rare museum devoted entirely to the press, and the town's best-known museum.
About the place
The museum was founded in 2007, building on the collection and work of the poet Petre Stoica, who lived in Jimbolia from 1995. It is named after Sever Bocu, a newspaper founder and Banat activist.
The building, a converted house, has about 600 square metres. The collection holds tens of thousands of newspapers and magazines, including the first Romanian periodicals, such as „Albina românească”. Visits are by appointment only.
